Burned effect for photographs and drawings

Step: 1
We are going to learn how to make the popular burned edge and it will only take a couple of steps. Get an picture to do the effect in and open it in Photoshop.
Step: 2
Start by clicking on Layer-New Adjustment Layer- Curves and grab the anchor point and drag it down so that the output is 17.
Step: 3
Now draw a rectangle inside your now black canvas and then click on the Curves Icon to select and do an Edit-Cut.
Step: 4
Now we will apply a little Gaussian Blur Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur.
Step: 5
Find the tone you want and then click OK.
Step: 6
