Golden tones that reflect the sunset

Bring that golden tones to those sunset pictures to bring them back to life in all their color and beauty

Step: 1
Ever wonder how do they create those golden tones in the pictures that show those dreamy sunsets? Is not as difficult as you think and you can use in your own pictures too. I am going to start by opening this picture that shows the sun about to go down in the mountains.

We start our process clicking on Image-Adjustments-Levels. ONce the menu appears, click on Options.

Make the selections you see in the picture and then click in the Midtones color to select the golden color we want.

Step: 4
When you click on midtones, you get a pop up window which allows you to select the tone you want. Once you get the tone you want, click OK.

Step: 5
Notice how the snow has acquired a golden tone now and it looks like a very nice sunset is taking place.

Step: 6
You can increase the contrast a bit more if you still want to add a bit more color. You only do this step if you think is necessary. Click on Image-Adjustments-Brightness/Contrast.
