How to create a peeling off sticky label
This Photoshop tutorial will show you how to create a plastic sticker, Once we finish the drawing, we will give it the effect that it is peeling off the wall or any other surface you want.
Step: 1
To create our peeling sticker we need a picture to transform. I am going to use this British flag for that purpose. Open it in Photoshop to get started.
Step: 2
Using the Elliptical Marquee Tool and trace a circle around your picture. Hold the Shift key while you draw the circle to make it perfect. Now click Edit-Copy and then Edit-Paste. You can turn off or delete the original picture.
Step: 3
Now grab the Polygonal Lasso Tool and then trace a triangle on one side of the circle as seen in the picture. Once you have finished your selection hit Edit-Cut and then Edit-Paste.
Step: 4
You have now cut a side of the circle and then pasted that cut in a different layer in the previous step. Now we need to place the cut piece in the right place. Click on Edit-Transform-Rotate 180.
Step: 5
Use the Move Tool and place the two pieces right on top of the other like you see in the picture.
Step: 6
Create a new layer Layer-New Layer and then select the Gradient Tool. Create the gradient you see in the picture and then click OK.
Step: 7
Now you are ready to create your gradient. Draw a line like you see in the picture starting where the + is and then move right and down. When you release, you will have your gradient drawn.

And here you have it. You now have a sticker peeling off a surface. You can finish here if you like.

You can also change the layer mode of the gradient to make it look see thru.
