Real looking rain animation |
Step-1:
In this photoshop tutorial we are going to create a realistic looking animated rain. Lest start by opening the picture where you want to create your raining animation.
|
Step-2:
Create a new layer Layer-New-Layer and fill it black. Now, make four copies of them by right clicking the layer and selecting duplicate.
|
Step-3:
Select the first one and go to Filter-Noise-Add Noise. Change it to 400 and click OK.
|
Step-4:
Go then to Filter-Blur-Motion Blur and choose an angle of 60 and a distance of 30 Pixels.
|
Step-5:
Now click on Layer-New Adjustment Layer-Levels and when the pop up window appears, click ok. When the next pop up appears, set the values on the picture.
|
Step-6:
The last thing you need to do is change the layer mode to Screen. Now repeat steps 3 and 6 for each layer individually but decrease the number by one when you add the noise to each layer so that your rain appears to be falling. The more layers you do, the more realistic your rain will be.
|
Step-7:
Now to Image Ready for the animation process. Go to Image Ready and Select only the original picture and the first layer of rain. Just look at the picture for an idea. Now take the first frame by clicking the circled icon. Do the same for each rain layer until you take a frame of each one of them.
|
Step-8:
You can mix the rain layers if you want to give your animation a random look.
