Step-1:
for this Photoshop tutorial we are going to start by finding two photographs that we want to merge.

Step-2:
I found a sunset from the Columbia River and a rose from my backyard.

Step-3:
We need to open the two pictures.
|
Step-4:
Using the Move Tool, we are going to drag one into the other. It doesn't matter which one.
|
Step-5:
Now that you have them both in the same document, go to your layers palette and change the mode to Multiply and this will make a see thru.
|
Step-6:
All you have to do next is to change the opacity in your picture to blend them evenly.
|
Step-7:
You can also achieve this effect using Soft Light.
|
Step-8:
And then change the opacity on the layers to better the blending.
