Step-1:

Start a document 400x400 and fille it white.Now start a new layer Layer-New-Layer and using the Single Column Marquee Tool draw a vertical line in the middle of your document. All you have to do is basically touch and it will happen.

Step-2:

Click on Edit-Fill.

Step-3:

From the first drop down menu select color and when you do that a pop up will open and there select the color you want your wire to be.

Step-4:

Click on Select-Deselect. We now need to click on Filter-Distort-Shear.

Step-5:

Make the selections in the picture and then move the like drawn so that it resembles my drawing. You can also select your own shape.

Step-6:

Duplicate the layer by clicking Layer-Duplicate Layer. Select the move tool and move the copied layer a little to the right like you see in the picture. There is your cable. Now make visible only the two cable layers and go to Layers-Merge visible.

Step-7:

Once you are done, we only make the background visible again wight click the layer with your drawing. From the drop down menu select Blending Options and copy the data from the picture.

Step-8:

Repeat the process to create cables of different colors.
