How to change the color of an object
Step-1:

Open your picture and with the Lasso Tool, create a circle around the object you want to change color to.

Step-2:

It needs not to be perfect as long as the color you want to change is inside the area.

Step-3:

Duplicate layer by clicking Layer-Duplicate Layer and then Layer-New Adjustment Layer-Hue/Saturation. When the new window pops up, from the drop down menu select the color you want to change. If your color is not there, select the closest to it.

Step-4:

When you move the cursor into the object you want to change color to, the cursor will turn into the Color Picker icon. Find an area with the color you want to change and click it to select that color. Notice how the canvas changes to that color.

Step-5:

Now move the Hue slider to choose the color you want. Notice how the color changes as you move the slider and when you see the one you want, stop. Go to Saturation next and do the same thing to select the intensity. Make sure Colorize is Unchecked.

Step-6:

When you find it, click ok and you are done. Now click on Select-Deselect.

Step-7:

If you get the area outside the object with a shadow, move the levers in between the color bars to make it disappear.
