Step-1:
To start this tutorial we need to open a picture we want to turn into a colored sketch and lets open it in Photoshop. Now that the document is opened, lets duplicate the layer Layer-Duplicate layer.

Step-2:
We Need to desaturate the layer Layer-Adjustments-Desaturate and then we will click on Filter-Other-High Pass. The Radius depends on how big your picture is. Mine needs to be 3.

Step-3:
Now We click on Image-Adjustments-Levels and we will move the three sliders until we get a hand drawn texture. Click OK.

Step-4:
Lets change the mode to Overlay.

Step-5:
Turn Off the layer you have been working on and Lets go to the layer with the picture in it and we will click on Filter-Artistic-Cutout.

Step-6:
We are now going to add a little texture and we will click on Filter-Noise-Add Noise. We are still working on the bottom layer.

Step-7:
Click on Filter-Blur-Motion Blur and copy the data you see in the picture.

Step-8:
Finally, we just click on Filter-Sharpen-Sharpen and we will repeat the process two more times. You can turn on all the layers now and we are done.
