En este tutorial vamos a aprender a dibujar un hongo como los que se muestran en el fideo juego de Supermario. Para crear el dibujo, nececitas una figura de un hongo y para ello utilizaremos la Pen Tool para que obtengas un poco de practica.

Step 01:
Lo primero que haremos sera crear un documento del tamano que necesitamos y despues vamos a usar la Pen Tool para crear la figura del hongo. Cuando hago dibujos como este, yo prendo la cuadricula para poder trabajar mejor Si deceas hacerlo, has click en View-Show-Grid. Una vez que termines de crear la figura, haz un click derecho en la canvas y selecciona la opcion de Make Selection del menu que se presenta.

Step 02:
Una ventanilla aparecera y despues deberas entrar el numero 1 en the Feather Radius y deberas presionar OK.

Step 03:
Now we will create a new layer Layer-New Layer and we are going to use the Bucket Tool to fill the shape with a red color. After you do, click on Select-Deselect.

Step 04:
Create a new layer Layer-New Layer and then draw the spots that we need to put in the mushroom’s head. Use the Elliptical Marquee Tool and then draw the oval shapes more or less like what you see in the next picture. You can create each spot in its own layer if you want because this way, you can go to Edit-Transform-Distort and place them in the right angle you need them. Make sure that when you are done, you merge all the spots in one single layer.

Step 05:
Control-Click the layer with the mushroom head to select it. You should be working on the layer with the spots for this step. Click on Edit-Copy and then Edit-Paste. This will copy the spots into a new layer and this new layer will be the same shape as the mushroom. You can turn off the original layer with the spots in it or delete it if you want because it wont be needed any more.

Step 06:
Click on Layer-Merge Down to merge the layer with spots we just copied wit the drawing of the mushroom. We want to have to whole figure in one layer before we go into the next step.

Step 07:
Select the Burn tool and then select and appropriate brush size. We are going to draw an inner glow and we don’t want to use the one from Blending Options because we want it to be applied only to one side.

Step 08:
Go around the borders of the mushroom brushing with the Burn Tool to get the effect you see in the picture.

Step 09:
Now hold the Control key down while you click the New layer icon. This will create a new layer below your drawing. Now use the Elliptical Marquee Tool like you see in the picture.

Step 10:
Fill the shape with the color f3f3f3.

Step 11:
Use the Burn Tool to create the dark glow effect like we did earlier.

Step 12:
Now we need to create the eye. O used the pen tool the same way we did in step one thru three.

Step 13:
Then we repeat this on the other eye and we are done. You should now have the drawing of a mushroom just like the ones you see in your video games.
