how to create realistic neon font
If you want to create a font that shows you a true neon animation, we will show you how to make it look as realistic as it gets and done in a very easy way.
Step: 1
The document of any size and fill it with black background. Now select the Horizontal Type tool and write something in your canvas. We are now going to rasterize the layer Layer-Rasterize-Layer.

Step: 2
Duplicate that layer four times. Just Right-click on the Text Layer and choose Duplicate Layer. Name them Layer 1 thru Layer 4.

Step: 3
Right click each one of the text layers and Razterize them one by one. Select Layer # 1 and click on Filter-Blur-Blur More. You may not notice this but there was a small change made. There is a barely there halo around your text now.

Step: 4
GO to text layer two and click on Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur and we are going to start with 6. Go to the next text layer and this time enter 7 and 8 on the last one.

Step: 5
Once you are all done, merge all your text layers by turning them on and clicking Layers-Merge Visible. The black background should not be part of the merging process.

Step: 6
Right-click on the layers you just merged and select Blending Options. Copy the data from the following screen.

Step: 7
And you get a true Neon Effect in your text.

Step: 8
